Purpose

Under this agreement, the selected firm will be responsible for performing Louisiana Key

Academy’s (LKA) Dyslexia Student Testing.


Agreement Period

LKA is seeking quotes for an agreement that would cover the period of September 1, 2023,

through June 30, 2024 (one year). The agreement will be renewable by mutual agreement with

one-year extensions beyond June 30, 2024.


Specific Requirements


LKA Authorities

  • LKA reserves the right to reject any and all quotes for any reason.
  • LKA reserves the right to negotiate any and all quotes for any reason.
  • LKA reserves the right to select the quote that best meets the needs of the organization, based on information provided with the quote. Price will not be the sole factor that firm selection is based on.
  • LKA reserves the right to accept quotes after the deadline in this document.


Legal

The Proposer must fulfill all obligations in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The

Proposer must notify LKA concerning any litigation involving the Proposer or its parent or

subsidiary companies.


Specific Requirements:

  • Testing must be done by an IMSLEC accredited organization within 2 weeks of an admission application.
  • The report generated must meet expectations of the DOE regarding LKA admission and serve as the foundation of the IEP process.

Evaluation of Proposals

The Chief Academic Officer and the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of LKA will

evaluate proposals on a qualitative basis. This includes a review of the program’s related

materials, possible interviews with senior instructional personnel to be assigned to our

organization, results of discussions with other clients, and the organization’s completeness and

timeliness in its response to us.

Specific Requirements:

  • The purpose of the training is to prepare our teachers for certification in Dyslexia instruction. The training must include instruction at various levels of knowledge to prepare our teachers for the following certifications. CALP (Certified Academic Language Professional), CALT (Certified Academic Language Therapist), and the QI (Qualified Instructor) certification.
  • Training is to be conducted onsite at our Baton Rouge, Covington, and Shreveport campuses.
  • Training must be provided by an IMSLEC (International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council) accredited training program.
  • Instructions must be delivered throughout the year on-site to complete the program.
  • Training must interface with previous instruction to allow a continuum of instruction.
  • Detail your experience in providing Dyslexia training.
  • Provide information on whether you provide services to any related schools or groups.
  • Discuss commitments you will make to staff continuity, including your staff turnover experience in the last three years.
  • Identify the instructor who will be assigned to our job if you are successful in your bid; provide a biography for that individual.
  • Set forth your fee proposals for each course and a detailed lesson plan.
  • Provide three names and contact information of other similarly sized schools or clients of the instructor that will be assigned to our organization.
  • Describe what differentiates your organization from the other organizations being considered, and why our selection of your organization is the best decision we could make.
  • Include a copy of your firm’s most recent IMSLEC accreditation.


Evaluation of Proposals
